Have you ever experienced burnout while on a Corporate assignment?
If you have, the goal of this blog is to help you plan your Corporate escape strategically so you don't experience burnout and overwhelm inside your business.

Years ago, I was in an unfamiliar and unsettling space—almost like an out-of-body experience.
It felt like a bad dream as I took two sleeping pills to quiet my racing mind, sitting alone on a hospital bed, feeling stripped of everything.
Clothes? Gone, packed in a bag.
Phone? Locked away in a locker, out of reach.
The reason? I desperately tried to escape a persistent voice telling me I wasn’t living out my life’s true purpose.
At that moment, the voice was unmistakably clear:
“Your family is in danger, and you can only save them by returning home because you don’t belong here.”
Years later, I was officially diagnosed with ASD, unbalanced on the scale for social interaction, with deficits regarding in-person communication.
But let me rewind and set the stage for what led up to this point…
I WORKED A LOT! 80-HOUR WEEKS!
Most days, I worked from 6 AM to 11 PM as a consultant in a billion-dollar business. Those grueling hours took a toll, and I struggled to make friends. We lived together, ate, had fun, and took breaks together.
There was little separation between work AND life!
This was never an issue before. I felt like I fit out, much like the character O in the Disney movie HOME.
But the reality was this created a perfect storm for poor sleep and a whirlwind of emotions, much like what’s illustrated in Inside Out 2 (which is now my new favorite movie!).
This relentless cycle led me to isolate myself, amplifying that critical voice I had once heard when I was ordered to take those two sleeping pills while in the hospital—“GO HOME!”
Looking back, I now understand that this voice was the Holy Spirit guiding me away from my persistent overwhelm and anxiety.
What I thought was just burnout was a divine intervention helping me realize I was out of alignment.
I wasn't told to GO HOME "to quit." What I now realize is that my work at home was undone!
I WAS BURNED OUT.
At its core, burnout is a signal that something needs to change. While that hospital experience was frightening, it also came with hidden blessings, allowing me to experience the joy of schedule freedom, happiness, and peace.
